Right Worshipful James Harold Guynn, Sr

Rt. Worshipful James “Jim” H. Guynn, Sr. was raised to the sublime degree of
Master Mason in Melrose
Lodge No. 139 on February 2, 1976. He
became a Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner in 1977. Jim is a Royal Arch Mason and a member of
Bayard Commandry #015. He has served two
terms as President of Kazim Greeters and is Past President of SASA Greeters
Association. Jim was Director of Kazim
Uniformed Units and served as Parade Marshal for five years. He is also Past President of the Roanoke Valley
Shrine Club and has been active in the establishment and operation of the
Annual Shrine Club Golf Tournament which is becoming very successful in raising
funds for Shrine Hospitals and Transportation. Jim is a charter member and Past President of
the Order of Quetzalcotal, Teocalli #801.
He served as Worshipful Master of Melrose
Lodge No. 139 in 2006. He was awarded
the Order of DeMolay Legion of Honor in 2005.
Jim, married to the former Dolores Anne Costello, has three sons, Jim,
Jr., Dwayne, and Derek. He is the proud
grandfather of David, a Roanoke City Fireman and student at VWCC; Katie, a
junior at Wellesley College; and Becky, a freshman at Washington and Lee
University. Jim is fully retired and
resides in Daleville with his wife Anne.
